6 hours a week
6 months minimum
About RLC and Participants
Roshan Learning Center opened its doors to students in January 2015. We started with 33 students; we now serve 85 students and have stopped our waiting list. We teach asylum seekers and refugees from age 2 to age 62 who are eager to learn, to belong, to make friends, and to work toward a bright future.
We operate with only 6 paid staff because we rely on a host of dedicated, talented volunteers. If you could be one of our future volunteers, we would love to get to know you. Please note that we generally require 6 hours a week over a minimum of 6 months (standard holidays apply). Because trust and relationship building are especially important to those interacting with refugees, and because we hope to make the most of the generous gifts of your time and talents, we respectfully ask that you only apply if you can meet the commitment contract.
Some positions are located on-site in Jakarta, and others are site flexible and would allow you to contribute from home, whether in Jakarta or around the world. We deeply appreciate your interest in us. We couldn’t operate without you!
