Alice Giraudi, a Jakarta Intercultural School (JIS) high school student, made this 7-minute video about what it’s like to be a refugee in Jakarta. Having moved many times from country to country while growing up, Alice talks about migration and the present refugee situation featuring one of the very first teenagers in our program.
About Priska Marianne
Priska is the Program Manager of Roshan Learning Center. She started her career as a designer before transitioning into the non-profit world. Her experience includes working with chronically homeless veterans with disabilities, tutoring children at risk, and facilitating community engagement in the impoverished Tenderloin district of San Francisco for over two years. She uses her background with disadvantaged populations and arts skills to promote community development. She now lives in Jakarta and runs the day-to-day operations of Roshan Learning Center. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from San Francisco's Academy of Art University.
